Nevada Health Link 

Nevada Health Link was created to help anyone looking for health insurance, whether they already have insurance or not. Purchasing health insurance through Nevada Health Link is the only way to receive financial assistance to help lower the cost of insurance. 

The only requirement to apply for and purchase insurance through Nevada Health Link is that you are a resident of Nevada and are lawfully present in the United States.

Open Enrollment Periods 

Like group plans that are provided through employers, Nevada Health Link has certain open enrollment periods. During open enrollment you can shop and compare health insurance plans and apply for federal subsidies that based on your income level, could significantly lower the cost of health insurance for you and your family.

Open Enrollment for 2016 coverage starts November 1st, 2015 and ends January 31st, 2016.

Medicaid/Nevada Check Up 

The Medicaid Program is a state-administered, federal grant-in-aid program. Its purpose is to help individuals and families with low income obtain health coverage. The program objective is to provide a broad range of medical and related services to assist individuals to attain or retain an optimal level of health care.

There are several Medicaid related programs for which DWSS determines eligibility. These programs include coverage for low income individuals, families, children, specialized households, Nevada Check Up and Medical Assistance to Aged, Blind and Disabled (MAABD).
