August 9th - 15th 2015 was officially proclaimed National Health Center Week in Nevada as set forth in the proclamation issued by Governor Brian Sandoval.  In addition to their long history as health care homes to millions, Health Centers are also proud to celebrate 50 years of service in 2015. The theme for this years festivities is "America's Health Centers - Celebrating Our Legacy, Shaping Our Future."

On June 1st, 2015 Governor Sandoval signed into law Senate Bill 6, which establishes in statute patient-centered medical homes.                                       The Nevada Primary Care Association was the driving force behind SB6 and played a major role in it's passage by the Nevada                                              Legislature.

Governor Brian Sandoval issued a proclamation recognizing National Health Center Week 2014 during the week of 8/10/14 - 8/16/14. This year we celebrate the contributions that Nevada's US Members of Congress displayed during the 113th Congressional Session. In recognition of their continued support and fearless leadership, Nevada's two newest Community Health Centers were honored to present awards to Senator Harry Reid on 8/18/14 (Northern Nevada HOPES) and Representative Dina Titus on 8/15/14 (FirstMed Health & Wellness Center).
